A few things to know
The background check fee is one-time — $45 total.
Contractors pay a one-time $40 background check fee before their check runs — it covers the Checkr background check that licensed operators are required to have on file before you can work a shift. Our payment processor, Greencard, adds a $5 processing fee at checkout, so the total you pay is $45, once. Not a subscription; it never recurs.
How operator billing works.
Operators are charged per shift, not on a subscription. The rate you set is the total you pay — it's shown while posting and on your billing dashboard. When you approve a worker, the shift's estimated cost is reserved from your Unify wallet balance, and at sign-off we settle against the work you confirm — anything unused is released straight back to your available balance. No-shows cost you nothing. (Greencard, our payment processor, adds a flat $5 when you add funds to your wallet.)
Refunds.
There's nothing to cancel — no subscription on either side. The background check fee is refundable until your check is submitted to our screening partner. See the refund policy for full terms.
