Delete Your Account & Data

Effective June 28, 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of your Unify account and the personal data associated with it. Unify is operated by Orqestra LLC, a New Mexico Limited Liability Company. You do not need to install the Unify app or be signed in to submit a deletion request.

Request Account Deletion

To delete your Unify account (operated by Orqestra LLC), send an email from the address on your account to the link below. The subject line is pre-filled.

Email support@weunify.io

Prefer to write the email yourself? Send it to support@weunify.io with the subject "Account Deletion Request." We will verify by replying to the email on file and complete deletion within 30 days.

How to request deletion — full instructions

Send an email from the address on your Unify account to support@weunify.io and include the following in your message:

  1. The subject line "Account Deletion Request."
  2. The email address associated with your Unify account.
  3. Your full legal name (so we can verify identity against your account).
  4. Whether you want to delete your entire account or only specific data (and which fields, if so).

We will verify the request by replying to the email on file. Once verified, we will process the deletion within 30 days and confirm completion by email.

What gets deleted (within 30 days)

When we process a full-account deletion request, the following data is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days of verification:

  • Email address and phone number on your account.
  • Your profile (name, address, date of birth, profile photo).
  • Your contractor or company record (and any Operations Manager assignments tied to it).
  • Authentication credentials and sign-in history.
  • Uploaded identity documents (driver's license, state ID, food handler card, etc.).
  • Background-check results obtained through Checkr (subject to FCRA-mandated disposal procedures).
  • Job applications, ratings you submitted, favorites, and dispute messages on closed disputes.
  • Notification preferences and push-notification tokens.
  • Unify Pro subscription state and any cancellation metadata.

Data Retention — what is kept, and for how long

By law, we cannot delete certain records immediately, even at your request. These items are retained on a strict schedule and are not used for any purpose other than the legal obligation that requires us to keep them:

  • Email address and phone number: deleted within 30 days of verified request.
  • Profile and contractor / company row: deleted within 30 days of verified request.
  • 1099-NEC and W-9 tax records: retained for four (4) years after the tax year they relate to, as required by IRS recordkeeping rules (26 CFR §31.6001-1), then deleted.
  • Payout records (transaction history, amounts, dates, processor references): retained for seven (7) years for financial recordkeeping and audit-defense purposes, then deleted.
  • Audit logs (security and compliance trail of admin actions, account events, payout actions): retained for seven (7) years for fraud-investigation and regulatory-inquiry purposes, then deleted.
  • Active or recently-closed dispute records: retained through final resolution plus one (1) year, then deleted.
  • Cannabis-industry compliance records that the New Mexico Cannabis Control Division or other regulators require us to keep: retained for the period specified by the applicable regulation (typically three (3) to five (5) years), then deleted.
  • Records subject to an active legal hold (litigation, subpoena, government inquiry): retained until the hold is lifted, then deleted on the schedules above.
  • Payment-processor data (Stripe, Paddle, Aeropay, and similar): transaction records held by those processors are governed by their own retention policies; we cannot delete records on their systems.
  • Encrypted backups: deleted data may persist in rolling encrypted backups for up to 90 days before aging out, after which it is permanently unrecoverable.
  • Anonymized aggregate analytics (e.g., total shift counts per quarter) that do not identify you may be retained indefinitely.

Partial deletion — without closing your account

You do not have to delete your entire account to remove specific data. From inside the app you can:

  • Delete uploaded documents in Profile → Documents.
  • Edit or clear most profile fields in Profile → Edit.
  • Remove favorited contractors or companies in Profile → Favorites.
  • Turn off non-essential notifications in Notifications → Preferences.

For other partial deletions, email support@weunify.io and describe what you want removed.

What happens after you submit a request

  1. We acknowledge your request within 5 business days by replying to the email on file.
  2. We verify your identity by confirming the request from the email address on your account.
  3. We close your account and remove the data listed above within 30 days of verification.
  4. We send a final confirmation email when deletion is complete.

Once your account is deleted, you cannot recover it. If you decide to use Unify again later, you will need to create a new account and re-verify your identity. Your prior Unify Score, work history, and ratings will not carry over.
